Overview

The Journal of Modern Studies in Management & Organization (JMSMO) welcomes qualified scholars and active researchers to join its Editorial Board. Membership is designed to be academically meaningful yet flexible, with minimal administrative responsibilities and optional participation in manuscript reviewing. The journal values both senior academics and emerging researchers with strong publication records, ensuring a balanced and credible Editorial Board in line with international standards, including Scopus evaluation criteria.

JMSMO seeks individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • A demonstrated research background in management, organizational studies, HRM, strategy, marketing, or related fields

  • A record of scholarly publications in reputable journals

  • Academic rank is not strictly required, though the presence of senior scholars (Associate/Full Professors) is important for maintaining international credibility

  • Commitment to ethical publishing practices and COPE guidelines

  • Interest in light‑weight academic collaboration without administrative obligations

Responsibilities (Flexible and Minimal)

Editorial Board Members may contribute in the following ways, based on their interest and availability:

  • Providing general academic guidance on the journal’s direction

  • Supporting visibility of the journal within academic networks

  • Participating in special issues or thematic calls (optional)

  • Reviewing manuscripts only if they wish to do so

  • Offering occasional feedback on editorial policies (optional)

There are no mandatory workloads, no administrative duties, and no fixed reviewing commitments.

Term and Renewal of Membership

Editorial Board membership at JMSMO is initially offered for a three-year term.

  • An Editorial Board Member may resign from the Editorial Board at any time by notifying the Editor-in-Chief by email.
  • Upon completion of the initial three-year term, the appointment will be renewed for a further three-year term unless the member has notified the Editor-in-Chief of their wish to end the appointment.
  • Renewal arrangements are subject to the journal’s policies in effect at the time of renewal and may be revised as the journal’s policies and editorial structure evolve.

Benefits

Editorial Board Members enjoy several advantages:

  • One article per calendar year may be published without an Article Processing Charge (APC), including a co-authored article in which the Editorial Board Member is a co-author, subject to the journal’s standard editorial screening and peer-review process. This benefit does not imply or guarantee acceptance or publication of any manuscript.
